Hawa Mahal
Fondly called the ‘Palace of Winds’ or the ‘Palace of the Breeze’, Hawa Mahal is yet another brilliant example of finest art, architecture and sculpture. Originally built for the royal ladies to enjoy the city views of city while being concealed from the outer world, this grand palace was built by Maharaja SawaiPratap Singh in 1799.
Wonderful architecture, latticed windows and detailed craftsmanship makes this palace a true wonder! Built in Rajput architecture in the form a honeycomb, the windows of this five-storeyed palace in such a way that they help in maintaining a pleasant temperature inside the entire of Hawa Mahal.
