Your day begins with a mouth-watering breakfast at your hotel before our tour executive picks you up for an entire day spent exploring the city of Jaisalmer.

Your first stop will be the iconic Jaisalmer Fort. The carved doors and windows, Raj Mahal, and sprawling architecture will leave you enamoured. The two cannon points offer unparallel panoramic views of the city and our guide will fill you in with interesting facts about this 12th century sandstone battalion.

Next you will visit the 17th century Salim Singh ki Haveli that has an arched roof designed to look like a peacock. The ornate archways and doorways of Patwa ki Haveli make this a must-visit Jaisalmer destination. The yellow sandstone architecture of the Jain Temple is also on the cards.
6kms from the city is Bada Bagh, a location that houses several cenotaphs dedicated to the royal families that ruled over Jaisalmer. For photography enthusiasts, Khaba Fort is a must-visit mainly because of its vantage point and Rajput architecture.

Nai Sarak and Sojati Gate Market sell traditional clothing, junk jewellery, souvenirs and other curios you’ll find hard not to pick up. Head back to your hotel for a good night’s rest.

After a delicious breakfast at the hotel our guide will lead you to the Mehrangarh Fort that dominates the Jodhpur skyline. The battlements here reach up to 36m and were fashioned out of the rock, making the structure one with the foundation. Enter from the northeast Jai Pol that is a short stroll from the old city. The Mehrangarh Museum used to be the fort palace and houses antique palanquins, paintings, manuscripts and an ancient armoury.

1km from Mehrangarh is the angel-white domes of Jaswant Thada. This historic building was constructed in memory of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II. Located above a tiny lake, this is the perfect place for panoramic views and quietude. Spread over 82 hectares is the spectacular Umed Garden that is a nature lover’s delight. You can take a leisurely stroll under towering Ashoka trees, past rose gardens and even visit the zoo.

The main adventure of the day is the road trip from Jodhpur to Jaisalmer. Enjoy a Thar sunset from your car as you drive down to the Golden City. Our guide will take you directly to your Jaisalmer hotel for an overnight stay.

The Jaisalmer Fort is your first stop. This is a 12th century sandstone structure with intricately carved archways and windows. If you want to get a bird’s eye view of Jaisalmer, head to the two cannon points strategically stationed around the fort.

Salim Singh ki Haveli is a 17th century structure that has a roof designed like a peacock. The five sections of Patwa ki Kaveli take you back to 19th century life and is a major part of your day tour. The seven Jain temples within the fort walls and the carvings here are mind-blowing.

Bada Bagh is a marble memorial for the royalty of Jaisalmer. The marble cenotaphs are exquisitely built and make for interesting exploration. If you’re a photographer, Khaba Fort has a number of great photographic opportunities.
