Kites Festival

A celebration of its own kind, this Kite Festival in Rajasthan unites the locals, who, with full vigour and passion, participates in kite flying and fill in the ambience with a riot of colours.
During this 2-days’ festival, the locals throng the pious Galtaji Temple and take holy dip in the kunds (ponds). They worship the Sun God for prosperity and a good harvesting season. In addition to the traditions, Kites Festival also brings in an array of fun-frolic activities. Kite flying competition is the primary attraction of Kites Festival in Rajasthan.
