Moosi Maharani Ki Chhatri
Taj Mahal is indeed the symbol of eternal love, but while in Alwar, visitors can also witness love blended with the essence of royalty! The Moosi Maharani Ki Chhatri in Alwar Palace is one such cenotaph that depicts the eternal love, devotion and loyalty of Rani Moosi who sacrificed her life on her husband’s pyre. Resting on sandstone pillars, this double-storeyed cenotaph was built by Vinay Singh.
Built in Indo-Islamic architecture, Moosi Maharani Ki Chhatri is adorned with magnificent marble works and looks stunning with the Aravalli Mountains as its backdrop. The walls and ceiling of the cenotaph is decorated with mythological paintings and amazing frescos that depicts love and royalty at their best!
