ITINERARY DETAIL
On your arrival at Udaipur airport, our representative will greet you and escort you to your hotel. After the completion of your check-in process, you can take some rest and then move out to start with your city tour.
The first tourist attraction of the day will be the magnum opus City Palace of Udaipur. The Palace was built in a royal style and is considered the largest palace of Rajasthan. In fact, it is built on a hilltop that gives an exotic view of the city and its surrounding. City Palace has eleven enchanting palaces within itself and to add to that the paintings, attractive mirror work and ornamental tiles will leave you astounded.
After the tour of the palace, spend some time shopping at the local bazaar of Udaipur.
Post the shopping spree, you can head back to your hotel for the overnight stay.
After having breakfast at the hotel, you can restart your city tour. The first attraction for the day will be Fateh Sagar Lake.
Fateh Sagar Lake is an artificial manmade lake. In fact, you can hire pedal boats or motor boats as per your convenience to enjoy a boat ride in the lake. Boating on the blue water of the lake, which is surrounded by mountains, is an experience to remember.
The next checkpoint for you is the Sahelion Ki Bari. This renowned garden is located on the banks of Fateh Sagar Lake. The garden is also known as the “Garden of Maids” and was built in the 18th century by Maharana Sangram Singh for the royal ladies. In fact, the fountains of this garden were imported from England.
Post this, visit the Kumbhalgarh Fort. The fort is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and was built during the 15th Century by Rana Kumbha. A fun fact is, it is the second longest wall in the world, after the Great Wall of China. From the top of the fort, you can see the endless Aravalli range and even the Thar Desert.
Make your way back to the hotel, after this splendid day in the city of Udaipur.
Today you will be taking a road trip to Mount Abu. So, have an early breakfast, and hit the road to travel a distance of 164 km. It should take you around 3 hours to reach your destination.
Once you have reached your hotel, you can freshen up and then head out to visit the attractions of this hill station. Your first destination is the Guru Shikhar View Point.
This viewpoint not only gives you a bird’s eye view of the city but also houses beautiful and historic temples. You must visit this place for a spiritual touch and some postcard quality pictures.
After hiking up to this attraction point, you can catch up on some rest by heading back to your hotel.
Start your day with a healthy breakfast and then start with your city tour, yet again.
The first destination of the day is the world famous Dilwara Temples. Known for its brilliant architecture, these temples are a must-visit. You can easily spend hours wondering how these temples were built over 2 centuries back.
Post this spiritual retreat, head to the Abu Road. This place houses many temples significant in Hindu mythology, displaying beautiful work of Indian architecture. Abu Road is situated near the Banas River. You can sit there and relax for some time, looking at the beautiful view.
Your last destination of the day is the Nakki Lake. The lake is a very special place to visit in Mount Abu owing to the fact that Mahatma Gandhi‘s ashes were immersed here. The highlight of the lake is the amazing sunset that it overlooks; it is a treat for every tourist visiting the lake during sunset.
After this fun day, return to your hotel for the night stay.
Begin your day with breakfast at the hotel and then leave for Jodhpur. You will be covering a distance of 262.4 kms and it should take you around 4 hours 29 minutes to reach your destination.
Your first attraction point of this Blue City will be the Mehrangarh Fort. The fort stands 400 feet tall above the skyline of Jodhpur. Mehrangarh fort is known for its beautiful architecture, formidable walls, and cultural heritage and is one of the most magnificent forts in Rajasthan.
After visiting this enormous fort, you can go around the city and visit its local markets to shop for souvenirs to take back home. Some of the items that you can shop for in Jodhpur are antiques, bandhini, footwear and antique jewellery.
Post the scout, you can return to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Follow your breakfast routine and then step out to continue your city tour.
Firstly, you will make your way to the beautiful Umaid Bhavan Palace. It was built by Maharaja Umaid Singh of Rathore Dynasty. It is said to be the last palace built before Independence. In fact, it is also the largest private residences in the World. The grand property also houses a museum with exhibits of glass, porcelain wares, memorabilia, and information on the building of the palace.
Your next attraction in the city is the Mandore Garden. The gardens are indeed a sight to behold.
