Once you have settled in, you can begin your wanderings with the Hawa Mahal. The Mahal is known as the “Palace of the Winds”. In fact, the structure of the mahal displays a total of 953 windows and that’s where it gets the name palace of the winds. In addition to that the façade of the structure resembles a honeycomb of a beehive and it is constructed in the shape of the crown of the great Lord Krishna.
The Hawa Mahal is situated right in the heart of the city, so after the tour of the Mahal you can go around the local markets and blend in with the locals.
Post this exciting day, you can head back to your hotel for a delicious meal and an overnight stay.
After the first meal of your day, the best place to be at is the City Palace. This palace complex is so vast that it occupies almost one-seventh of the old city of Jaipur. The two main palaces in the complex are the Chandra Mahal and the Mubarak Mahal. The architecture of the Mahal is a blend of Mughal and Rajput architecture that is not usually a common thing to find in the modern buildings and architecture.
For the next destination of the day, you will make your way to the Amber Fort. This tourist attraction is located uphill and offers a sensational view from the top. But what you should be looking forward to is the elephant ride that takes you uphill. The sprawling complex of the fort speaks to you off immense fortifications with unexpected charm. Its architectural brilliance leaves in you awe and put Amber Fort on your must-visit list.
Before you head back to your hotel, you will be visiting the Jantar Mantar Observatory. It is the largest observatory in India and is worth your time. In fact, it was constructed by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II who took a keen interest in the movement of celestial objects from a very young age. That’s how Jaipur gets one of the largest observatories as its tourist destination.
To end your day, head back to the hotel and get in bed for some rest.
Make sure you have an early breakfast on day 3 because today you will be traveling to Ranthambore. The distance that you need to cover is 155 kms and it should take you around 3 hours and 37 mintues by road.
Upon your arrival and after the check-in process, you can head out to explore the city. Your first destination of the day will be the Ranthambore Fort. The fort was founded in 1944 and it was initially named as “Ranath Bhawar Garh”. Today the fort is an ideal territory for the Ranthambore tigress, known as Machali. Well, tiger lovers, especially fans of Machali, better known as the “Queen of Ranthambore” come to this fort to catch a glimpse of this tigress.
After a tiring yet exciting day, it is time to catch up on some sleep and have some dinner at your hotel.
Day 4 is going to be a thrilling day for you because today it is time to take the Jungle Safari. So make sure you have a heavy breakfast and do not forget to take your camera along.
One of the popular things to do in Ranthambore is to engage in a jungle safari and accomplish one thing off your bucket list. However, if you haven’t added this to your bucket list then you will be in for a surprise. A jungle safari in Ranthambore is a great experience to enjoy with friends or with family. The luxuriant wildlife, green landscapes and the chirping of birds is not usually a common thing to be around when you are busy in the city life. If you are wishing to break the monotony, this is the experience for you on your vacation in Ranthambore.
Along with the jungle safari, you will also be going on a tiger’s trail. The most famous occupant of the jungle is the Royal Bengal Tiger whose sight is one of most electrifying things to do in Ranthambore. This carnivore is never shy of flaunting its thunderous chasing and hunting activities uninhibited by any human interference.
For your last destination in the city, you will be visiting Lakarda and Anantpura. For wildlife enthusiasts, this is an engaging visit. It is one of the few places in this reserve, where the pugmarks of the Indian striped Hyenas can be seen.
Post this rip-roaring day you will head back to your hotel for a good night’s sleep.
