The City Palace is a blend of the royal architectural style of the Mughal and Rajasthani. It has a complex of courtyards, gardens and buildings. In fact, the royal family still occupies a part of the complex.
The museum in the palace has one of the finest collections of its kind. Just between the armoury and the Deewan-E-Aam, is the open courtyard known as Sarvathobhadra, which holds in its centre a beautiful pink-and-white, gallery that was once used as Deewan-E-Khas.
Right outside the City Palace is a local market. The market offers traditional Rajasthani outfits, artefacts, decorative jewellery, sweets, etc. that you could buy as lovely souvenirs to take back home.
To end your day, you will be escorted to your hotel for some delicious dinner and a good night’s sleep.
Being day 2 with a healthy breakfast and be ready to make your way out in the city, yet again. Your first destination for the day will be the Hawa Mahal.
The Hawa Mahal is also known as the “Palace of the Winds”. The name comes from its design that showcases 953 windows, or as they call it, jharokas. The 5 storey building is outlined in the shape of the crown of Lord Krishna. In addition to that, its façade resembles a honeycomb of a beehive, now isn’t that interesting?
After your time at the Hawa Mahal, you will be heading to the Amber Fort. The fort stands on top of an easily scalable mountain, which is situated right next to the beautiful Maota Lake. The fort’s majestic appearance and its geographical advantages make it a special place to visit. It presents a fascinating blend of Hindu and Muslim architecture and is built using red sandstone and white marble.
Post this gripping day, you can catch up on some rest at your overnight stay.
For today your first destination on the list, after a delicious breakfast, will be the Nahargarh Fort.
The Nahargarh Fort is famous for its cycling expedition and we are sure some adventure will not cause much trouble. Nahargarh Fort along with Amer and Jaigarh forts used to form an important defence ring for the city. Located on one of the oldest hills of Aravalli, this fort offers breath-taking views of the Pink City.
There are many buildings and structures within Nahargarh fort. There is a temple inside the fort, dedicated to the Rathore prince, Nahar Singh Bhomia. Another attraction in the fort is the Madhavendra Bhawan built by Sawai Madho Singh and Deewan-E-Aam, an open-air enclosure where the king met the common men and listened to their problems and complaints.

The Jantar Mantar houses various architectural and astrological instruments that have caught the interests of astronomers, historians and architects around the world.
