Pushkar Fair
Pushkar Fair or the Pushkar Mela in the holy lands of Pushkar boasts of being the largest camel fair in the world. a Five days’ annual festival in Rajasthan, this grand fair is hosted in the Kartik month of Hindu Calendar (between October and November); it begins from KartikEkadashi to KartikPurnima or the full moon day of the month.
In addition to attracting the followers of Lord Brhama who visits the holy lands of Pushkar during this festivity and takes dip in the holy Pushkar Lake, the Pushkar Fair also attracts livestock traders from different parts of Rajasthan. Besides trading camel, traders also buy and sell their livestock during this fair.
Among the highly enjoyed events of Pushkar Mela, there are the traditional matka-phod competition, longest moustache competition, bridal competitions, cricket matches, and lot more! Camel race and camel decoration competition are the main attractions of Pushkar Fair.
